The Emerging Artists Exhibition features wonderful artwork from artists around the state, and provides an opportunity for artists of all visual arts media to display their creativity in a museum gallery.
The exhibition was developed to meet the needs of burgeoning new artistic talent. The Best of Show/Purchase Award becomes part of the collection of the State Museum. Through this process, and art exhibitions like this one, the State Museum has built one of the best contemporary art collections in the country. This exhibition is in addition to the Biennial Juried Exhibition that the museum has held since 1979. For more information, contact Charles Morris, director of museums for the department, at (304) 558-0220 or Charles.W.Morris@wv.gov.
The West Virginia 2022 Emerging Artists Juried Exhibition seeks to feature burgeoning new artistic talent.
